Here’s something I’ve noticed, both in my own life and in walking with others…
Indecision is rarely about lack of information.
It’s almost always about identity.
We tell ourselves we need more clarity.
More confirmation.
More certainty.
But underneath the hesitation is often this subtler question…
Who am I to choose?
Verse of the Week
'As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.'
— Col. 2:6
When a believer isn’t sure of who they are in Christ, they cannot stand firm in the decisions they make. Choices become places of anxiety, delay, and second-guessing – not because the decision is complicated, but because the foundation underneath feels uncertain.
The New Testament pattern is simple and consistent:
Identity first.
Then thinking.
Then action.
The apostles never urge believers to try harder to decide better. They call us to remember who we are – because behaviour and decisions flow from that place.
We don’t decide our way into identity.
We receive our identity…and then our decisions begin to line up from that place.
Until next week,
Have a blessed day and keep shining!✨
