How God Can Use Your Gifts to Open Doors
She was just eight years old when she painted a portrait that would become known around the world.
Her name is Akiane Kramarik, and she began drawing when she was only three. By eight, she had painted an extraordinary portrait of Jesus called Prince of Peace.
Imagine being that young and having no idea how many people would one day be blessed by something you'd created.
I've been spending a lot of time writing my book recently, and one of the things I've been thinking about is the gifts God gives us. Reading Akiane's story today brought something home to me.

Verse of the Week
‘A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.’
—Prov. 18:16
I wonder how many of us have gifts that we haven't fully recognised or developed because they seem so ordinary to us.
You may have been using your gifts for years without thinking much about them. Yet they could open doors you never imagined.
Proverbs tells us that a person's gift makes room for them. Your gift can create opportunities, bring you into contact with people you wouldn't otherwise meet and enable you to make a difference in lives far beyond your immediate circle.
So develop the gifts God has given you. Use them and be ready for the opportunities they may open up. Who knows how many people God could reach through them?
What gift could you begin developing or using more intentionally this week?
Until next week,
Have a blessed day and keep shining!
