There’s Still Time to Move Towards Your God-Given Dream
There are 125 days left in 2026.
That’s not the end of the year. That’s more than four months.
And yet, somewhere around September, we have a funny habit of mentally closing the year down. Summer is over, Christmas starts appearing in the shops ridiculously early, and January begins looking like the sensible time to start anything new.
But four months is a long time.
Maybe you haven’t abandoned the dream. You’ve just stopped doing anything about it.
It’s still there. You still think about it. You still know God put it in your heart. But somewhere along the way, other things became more urgent and it moved further down the list.
Perhaps you started the year determined that this would be the year you finally did something about it.
And now September is almost here.
That doesn’t mean you’ve missed your chance.
There is still time to bring what God has put in your heart back into focus.

Verse of the Week
‘Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time’
—Eph. 5:15–16
Redeeming the time doesn’t mean frantically trying to squeeze more into every day. It means recognising the value of the time you have and using it wisely.
And sometimes using it wisely means paying attention again to something you know you’re meant to do.
You don’t need to revive every goal you wrote down in January. You don’t need a complicated new plan.
But there may be one thing you know you need to start moving towards again.
The application you haven't made.
The idea you haven't developed.
The conversation you haven't had.
The first step you keep postponing.
The thing you keep saying you’ll do ‘one day’.
So before September begins, ask yourself:
What has God put in my heart that I need to start moving towards again?
Write it down.
Then choose one action you can take this week.
You still have 125 days.
That’s plenty of time to stop leaving what God has put in your heart for ‘one day’ – and start moving towards it today.
Until next week,
Have a blessed day and keep shining!
