Why Your Words Matter More Than You Think
Last week, someone did something that really blessed me.
I was at a women’s conference I had been really looking forward to – time in the Word, worshipping and just being together.
And then something unexpected happened.
I received a card.
Inside was a message…kind, thoughtful, and so affirming. It spoke directly to things God has placed in me – things I didn’t even realise I needed to hear.
It felt like a deep breath for my soul.

Verse of the Week
'The generous soul will be made rich,
And he who waters will also be watered himself.'
—Proverbs 11:25
It’s so powerful to speak life over someone.
Not flattery or vague encouragement.
But something genuine, thoughtful and led by the Spirit.
The kind of thing that makes someone stop and think, God sees me.
That’s what refreshes a soul.
And here’s the beautiful part – it doesn’t just impact the person receiving it.
It does something to you too.
We sometimes think being a light has to be something big or visible.
But often it’s just writing the card, sending the message or speaking the encouragement out loud.
So here’s something to take into your day:
Who could you refresh today?
Who might be waiting for a word that lifts them, strengthens them, reminds them of who they are?
Don’t overthink it.
Just speak life.
Until next week,
Have a blessed day and keep shining. ✨
