You Are Not Who You Were – The Past Doesn't Define You
There was a season when I rehearsed old moments far more than I realised.
Conversations I'd wished I'd handled differently.
Decisions I kept revisiting.
Opportunities I felt I'd missed.
There were moments when I let guilt and worry linger longer than they should have.
At some point, I began to see something clearly.
I didn't live there anymore.
Yes, those experiences shaped me.
Yes, they were part of my story.
But they were not my address.
And sometimes we continue visiting places God has already moved us out of.
Verse of the Week
"I do not count myself to have apprehended, but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
— Phil. 3:13-14

Paul doesn't say the past didn't happen...he says he refuses to live from it.
There's a difference.
Moving forward doesn't mean pretending everything was fine.
It means choosing not to let yesterday define who you are today.
If you are in Christ, your worst decision is not your identity.
Your most awkward season is not your definition.
And what someone once called you is not your name.
You are not who you were.
Your starting point is now.
Over the coming days, notice when your thoughts drift backwards – especially when you're about to step foward.
When that happens, gently remind yourself:
I don't live there anymore.
And continue from who you are today.
Until next week,
Have a blessed day and keep shining! ✨
