The Bible Woman Most People Miss – And What She Says About Your Calling
I've been thinking this week about a woman in Scripture that most people walk straight past.
Her name is Huldah. She appears in just a handful of verses – 2 Kings 22, if you want to find her – and yet the moment she steps into is remarkable.
King Josiah has just discovered the lost Book of the Law in the temple. He tears his robes in grief when he hears it read. He knows something has gone deeply wrong in Israel and he needs to know what God is saying. So he sends his most senior men – the priest, the secretary, the king's attendant – to enquire of the Lord.
And they go to Huldah.
Not to the more famous prophets. Not to someone louder or better known. They go to a woman who had been faithful in her gifting long before this particular door opened. She was already walking with God. Already known for it. Already trusted.
She speaks, delivers the word of the Lord with clarity and authority, and her message shapes the course of an entire nation.

Verse of the Week
‘She dwelt in Jerusalem in the Second Quarter.’
—2 Kings 22:14
I know that doesn't sound like a typical verse of the week. But stay with me.
She wasn't at the centre of political power. She was simply present, faithful, and known by God.
When the moment came, she was ready. Not because she had engineered her own visibility, but because she had already been doing what God called her to do – until the day it mattered on a national scale.
They knew where to find her. Her faithfulness had made her findable.
Faithfulness in the ordinary is what prepares us for the extraordinary.
Whatever God has given you to steward right now, do it with everything you have. What are you giving your faithfulness to this week?
Have a blessed day and keep shining! ✨
Until next week,
Cheryl
